Individual financial counseling is provided to those who have a need and interest.
Note: In order for this to be effective, it is imperative that the person truly has a desire to participate. Also, if married, the spouse needs to attend too so they will be on the same page and make their decisions together as a couple.
The counseling typically consists of a three-step process:
- Initial meeting by phone to discuss concerns and objectives and to give instructions for what to do prior to second meeting.
- Second meeting in person to determine, by interview process, what they are currently earning, giving, getting and saving.
- A Financial Summary and Recommendations report is provided showing where they are currently at and a recommended plan of action.
